Does anyone who has a Newton's Cradle know if ones with a wood base will crack? (The base I mean)?
I was wondering if the wood base would crack or wear away over time, because I was thinking of purchasing one, and was stuck between the more expensive but durable? ones, and the less expensive wood-base ones.
I have a wooden one in my classroom that has lasted several years of constant touching by teenagers. It is harder to tangle the lines on this one than on the metal one I used to have.
